"THAT City Council now move into 'Closed Session' to consider:

  1. Minutes of the Closed Session of the Special Council meetings held on December 2, 9, and 15, 2022;
  2. Minutes of the Closed Session of the Regular Council meeting held on December 12, 2022;
  3. One matter regarding advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose, respecting the East Bayshore Road reconstruction; and
  4. One matter regarding personal matters about identifiable individuals respecting board and committee appointments."

There are no postponed matters.

“WHEREAS the City of Owen Sound has undertaken a comprehensive service review in 2022 with reporting back to be completed in 2023 with outcome implementation to occur in 2023 and 2024;


AND WHEREAS committees should be aligned to service review outcomes;


AND WHEREAS a recent municipal election returned three new Councillors to provide governance;


AND WHEREAS discussion has not yet occurred with Council on 2023 committee appointments;


AND WHEREAS some community organizations with representation do not regularly submit minutes for correspondence;


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT City Council reconsider Resolution No. R-220912-008 from the September 12, 2022 Council meeting which directed staff, in the 2023 Board and Committee By-law, to increase Council terms to two years on committees, community organizations and the Owen Sound Municipal Non-profit Housing Corporation/Owen Sound Housing Company.”
